Snow-drifted jack-o-lanterns are just sad
While snow on Halloween is not unheard of in Colorado, I can't say that I've ever experienced a two-day blizzard just prior to the holiday. As of early this morning we had about 10" and it's still snowing steadily, but the wind is blowing so hard it will be hard to get an accurate measurement. School was canceled but The Mister had to go into work, which I'm still cranky about. We're staying inside where it's warm and getting a start on the treats for tomorrow night's big party.
On my happy list today (besides not having to take the kids out into the snow):
My cute new ballet flats that I purchased on clearance at Wal-Mart (of all places) for $7.00, worn with the top that I just got on clearance at Ann Taylor LOFT for $4.88. Woo-hoo!

Wow, really cute shoes! Too bad I hate Wal-Mart and refuse to shop there or I'd go get me a pair.
ReplyDeleteI heard about the snow on the am news this morning and I thought of you and especially Maren. I grew up in Rochester, NY and had to occasionally trick or treat on snow banks. I could never be a ballerina- only fat things like pumpkins and such because I had to wear a snow suit under my costume.
ReplyDeletePumpkins + snow = WRONG!!
ReplyDeleteDo all the kids go Trick or Treating as Eskimoes? Hope your party is a blast. It sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat is better than red shoes? REALLY!
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't been to LOFT in years. There used to be three of them within walking distance of my old office. That's quite a clearance price!
