I'm joining
Joan's Vintage Christmas Monday blog party!
All of the digging through bags of overpriced junk at the thrift is worth it when you find a bag that contains these:

Yum. Makes me want to put my shoes on and run to the thrift store again! Thrift store treasure hunting is like gambling--usually you lose but sometimes you win, and those wins make it all worth it!
This was found at an antique mall. Love the original box!

And these were found at my new favorite vintage store in town,
Pink Attic Cat:

More toadstool ornaments for my collection (are those Smurf houses?) and a fun little green mylar spray that wants to be a Christmas corsage.
Still haven't got the Christmas decorations out. Hoping to change that soon!
I love the center piece spray and the little mylar one!! Can't wait to see how you use them.

Thrift store finds can certainly be treasures. I found some this week, though didn't bring home any of the Christmas things. At this stage in life, I have plenty!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the decorating. ~ Sarah
Of course, you know already that I LOVE the toadstool. I spied a toadstool shaped playhouse house in the ToysR'US ad yesterday. Think I'm too old to ask Santa for a Smurf house?
ReplyDeleteI'm itching to hit the thrifts, I know the Christmas donations will be rolling in.....and I need to buy it all! :)
Ah the joys of the Thrift Shop score! It is what keeps us coming back even though all those fruitless visits.
ReplyDeleteHappy Vintage Christmas Monday. xo Joan, your VCM hostess
Sweet selections! And you're right about the correlation between gambling and thrifting :) I actually won the "lottery" at thrift store this morning. I'm still not believe what all I bought for a total of $2.14 - none of it Christmas though.
ReplyDeleteThose litte mushroom houses are adorable!
ReplyDeleteCute stuff!
Linda
I love your finds. Makes me want to run out to the thrift store this minute.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the digging was definitely worth it! Love that little box of ornaments, and especially those toadstool ornaments. Can't wait to see what you'll show next week!

Still making the rounds from VCM and so glad I didn't miss these cuties! So nice to know that what I thought were "corsages" were actually for a Cemetary Spray LOL!! Love all felt and sequins and yours is really adorable. Thanks for sharing. Judi
