Well, it's all over for anoth

er year.
As predicted, I'm completely sick of my Halloween decorations and am looking forward to packing them away. I have a few things for Thanksgiving so I'll get those out--better hurry, Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away! Michael's has big feathered turkeys for sale and I'm trying to decide if I really need one.
The cold kept most of the trick-or-treaters home last night. I could swear it was warmer when I was a kid but perhaps my memory is playing tricks on me. We gave out most of our candy at Trunk or Treat and had enough left over for a few groups of kids at home, and that was it. Fine by me as I don't want that stuff hanging around anyway.
One of the things we gave out were Tootsie Roll Pops. Last night Mar

en got hold of one and immediately jammed it into her mouth. It must have been instinctive as she's never had a lollipop before. Normally I would have taken it away but in the spirit of consuming too much candy, I let her keep it. She got sucker everywhere--her coat, her hair, my pants--but she really enjoyed it and her sweet, sticky little face was worth it.
Awww, she looks so sweet! Jack also LOVES the lollipops, and I love watching him eat them, as it pure bliss for him. What do these feathered turkeys look like? I am thinking I will move straight onto getting out the christmas stuff. BTW, the monkey costume was from Old Navy.
ReplyDeleteYour little Maren is 100% cutie pie. I didn't get my pumpkin carved either. Would love to see the Steve Irwin pumpkin if you can get the pic to load.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable, yep sugar is always instinctive!
ReplyDeleteHeidi---what a doll your daughter is, sweet and sicky and all! Thank you also for the tips on the ribbon topiary, my stryofoam ball is 5 inches in diameter, too. I'll let you know when I have finished :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful girl! Such ghorgeous eyes. And I love her little spider shirt. :) Glad your halloween was fun!
ReplyDeleteCan I ask what the "trunk" is in trunk or treat? I'm picturing cars with trunks full of candy LOL
Hello Heidi,
ReplyDeleteRebecca sent me your way. She thought you be able to answer a question. I recentley found a set of 6 6oz size peachy orange fire king bowls. How do I know if they are old or rare? Mine have the logo samped on the bottom but it is in a different font style than what is on my green bowl. Also, they are stamped backwards. Have you any fire king wisdom to share?
Thanks,
Dita
