A wedding that was front page news

It's not everyday that you wake up to find a picture of your daughter on the front page of a newspaper in a city where you don't even live, but that's what I did on Saturday morning!

We're in Salt Lake for my brother's wedding, which happened on Friday. You can check out the newspaper article here. The article itself was all over the front page of the paper, with one color photo of the bride and Maren! There are more photos in the gallery online (my brother is not the old guy in the first picture, BTW); you can click through to see a few photos of my brother, his gorgeous bride Stephanie, and two photos where my beautiful Maren made an appearance in her poofy pink dress! You can read the story and find out why the week before the wedding was particularly stressful for the couple (it involves a freak oil spill and a change of venue a week before the wedding).

You can also see a few more photos of the reception here, taken by the wedding planner's photographer. The reception was beautiful! Stephanie chose a soft pink and the prettiest shade of pale aqua as her colors, and she went with a vintage theme (I know, how lucky am I to have a new sister-in-law who loves aqua and vintage as much as I do?). She even found a vintage typewriter in the perfect shade of blue for the sign-in table! Every detail was just lovely and the occasion just wonderful. Truly a happy ending!

I can't wait to go through the rest of the photos on my camera to show you more. Stephanie's wedding gown was literally the most gorgeous that I've ever seen. Ever. Trust me, you need to see more photos of it! We're here for a few more days but I may be able to use a card reader to download the photos from my camera before we go. What a happy weekend we've had!
